Hi, I’m Vijay and thank you for visiting my page. I am a hairstylist and co-owner of Lock&Hue, an independent concept salon in Baltimore, MD. I specialize in precision hair cutting and grooming, with an affinity for beautiful long layered haircuts with abundant face framing. I enjoy creating modern, structured yet effortless hairstyles while providing longevity, functionality and versatility to the needs and lifestyle of each client. As a colorist, I love a dimensional brunette!
My education includes attending the prestigious Graham Webb International Academy of Hair and I have been in the beauty industry for 15 years. Always eager to elevate my craft, I continue my education both online and in person to stay up to date with the latest trends in the industry, including Royal Renegades, Matty Conrad, and Daze Curl Education. As an aspiring curly hair specialist, I have attended the globally renowned RezoAcademy and received certification for Rezocut level 1. In August of 2023, I attended the Cut It Kinky Tight Curl Immersion Workshop, a month long digital and 2 day hands on course on the maintenance and care of tight curls. In June of 2024, I will return to CIK for more advanced tight curl education.
When you are in my chair, my goal is for you to leave feeling confident, allowing the very best version of yourself to shine.
